*This list is not complete for more reasons than one. For example, there exist in archival records references to other texts purportedly written by Wong Hon Fan which we have been unable to verify first-hand, and are not present in the above list; nevertheless, this bibliography represents the first comprehensive catalogue of Wong Hon Fan’s works published in English. We are grateful for any corrections or additions the reader may wish to contribute, and can be contacted at theravenswoodacademy@gmail.com

A Note on Translation: A single Chinese character can be translated in a variety of ways, each interpretation as equally valid or differentially valid depending on the context. "躲剛" could be translated as "Evading Rigidness" or "Avoiding Hardness", for example, with both translations (though different words) working to convey the same concept: that of the book's title and subject.

Further Reading: While not strictly written by Wong Hon Fan, his student Wong Honchao produced a history text which may also be of interest to the reader, entitled 中國近百年螳螂拳術史述論稿 (A Discourse on the History of the Praying Mantis Boxing for the Last One Hundred Years).
